 About the Architects
The Mt. Lebanon Board of School Directors unanimously approved the selection of Celli-Flynn Brennan Architects and Planners (CFB) as the architect of record for the Mt. Lebanon High School renovation project at the November 19, 2007 Regular Board meeting. Thomas C. Celli, CFB president, will lead the project. Partnering with CFB will be the Chicago based firm of OWP/P. The representatives of OWP/P will lead, in collaboration with CFB, the schematic and design development effort as the building is designed, the concepts are agreed upon and the education specifications are confirmed. Both firms have provided extensive architectural services to school districts.

Education Focus
CFB Architects and Planners have been involved in designing educational buildings for 57 years and have completed more than $1 billion dollars in educational projects. The firm began in 1949 and has been in continuous practice of architecture throughout the eastern United States since then. We have constructed buildings in 17 states. Today, the firm's practice ranges from public schools, Catholic schools, educational buildings, college and university projects and historic preservation projects ranging from South Dakota to North Carolina to New York State. CFB is a leader in educational architecture.

In the past, we have pioneered a number of "firsts" in the structures we designed:
- The first "Systems Construction" elementary school in Western Pennsylvania
- The first all electric high school in Pennsylvania (Norwin)
- The first auditorium and large group instruction combination to increase auditorium capacity while maintaining state reimbursement
- The first building with a reduction in window area from 16% of the classroom floor to 5%
CFB is a recipient of numerous design awards in the areas of K-12, higher education, historic renovation, commercial, government buildings, wellness centers and churches. The firm was awarded the the prestigious Arthur Ross Award from Classical America for for the East Wing of the PA State Capitol. It was a large ($140 million) multi phased project that took 5 years to construct.

Largest Education Projects
Our largest educational projects include numerous high schools in western Pennsylvania such as the Norwin Senior High School, the Belle Vernon Senior High School, and the McKeesport Senior High School. In the last 5 years, we have had a variety of educational projects including the Oakland Catholic High School, a difficult phased renovation and an addition project that is similar to the Mt. Lebanon School District High School project. This $15 million dollar project is entering its third phase of construction. Recently completed in Morgantown, West Virginia is a highly unusual 500 pupil K-8 school known as the Saint Francis Elementary School. This $10 million dollar project was built on the site of an old dairy farm, and the dairy farm inspired the architecture of the building.
