In social studies, the Fourth Grade classes have been researching the 5 major ethnic groups that have contributed to building the United States and how they arrived in America. The pictures below are of projects completed while the students were studying African Americans.
Mr. Kukic's 4th grade class at Howe Elementary chose their favorite stories to read to Miss Sulkowski's 1st grade class. The first graders showed the 4th grade how much progress they have made in reading by reading the story, "Where Do Frogs Come From." Reading to their "Book Buddies" was enjoyed by both 4th and 1st grade students! :)
The 4th Grade classes from Howe visited the Pittsburgh Symphony at Heinz Hall. Thanks to Mrs. Froehlich, the classes had an excellent experience and had the opportunity to watch some of Howe School's parents in action as they played with the Pittsburgh Symphony!
