Principal's Message

Greetings from Lincoln Elementary School!    At Lincoln we work to provide the best education possible for each and every student.  Moreover, we seek to accomplish this goal in a nurturing environment that seeks to develop the whole child while fostering a love of learning and a sense of responsibility.    We believe that all students can learn, but we know that not all learn in the same way or at the same time. Consequently, our vision is tightly focused on individual student development and achievement and requires that we provide the necessary supports while seeking excellence in every aspect of our operation.  By constantly examining best practices as reflected in current research and practical knowledge, our staff continues to grow as they meet the needs of our students.    Our classrooms are staffed by dedicated individuals who create respectful environments where hands-on, individualized, relevant instruction creates a climate where learning is enjoyable and adaptive to the students’ educational and social needs.   To support these efforts, we use a constantly improving curriculum based on recognized standards that is tailored to meet individual needs.  We strive to enable students to see relationships among subjects and to develop higher level thinking skills that they can apply to their learning.  Finally, we hold high expectations for our students and realize that their efforts are the key to their ultimate success.   While keeping our goals in mind, we do not neglect process.  We seek to make our school a caring environment where students are content and safe.  Consideration for others and acceptance of differences is an abiding concern.   All of this is sustained by the extraordinary efforts of the Lincoln PTA.  They have 37 active committees that contribute to the accomplishments of our school.  Their work is essential to our success and we are blessed to have so many parents involved as important stakeholders in the education of our students.   All of these aspects combine to create the “Lincoln Family”.  Together we are a community of learners that includes staff, students, parents, and community.  Each member of this family is dedicated to contributing whatever is necessary to continue the successful Lincoln tradition that has made the elementary school one of the most outstanding in the state.  This is a great place for kids!   Thank you for taking the time to visit our website.    Sincerely,   James M.
