Welcome to Edwin Markham Elementary School, located in the Pittsburgh suburb of Mt. Lebanon, Pennsylvania. Since 1929, Markham School has been educating the youngsters of Mt. Lebanon in the spirit of our namesake, poet Edwin Markham. We are happy to invite you to "Be a Positive Partner in Our Markham Circle."

Markham School is a Kindergarten - Fifth grade elementary school. We currently number 353 children and approximately 30 faculty and staff members. We are proud of our well maintained three story school building and our beautiful school grounds, which include a popular playground, a fitness center, two ball fields, a basketball court, and three tennis courts. Markham School enjoys an involved and active parent group, the Markham Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) . The PTA sponsors many family-oriented activities each year and fully supports our school by enhancing the facilities, materials, programs, and opportunities for students.

The curriculum in every grade provides active hands-on, experiential learning opportunities for all boys and girls. Academic programs are extended by experiences in the arts, including art, vocal music, instrumental music, physical education and library science.

At Markham school, teachers work together to meet the needs of all students in an accessible facility and an inclusive learning environment. Guided by our monthly themes of  RESPECT, HONESTY, LOVE, TRADITION, JUSTICE, COURAGE, LOYALTY, and HOPE, we come together as a caring community of learners.
