Save the Date: Oct. 11 High School Dedication and Open House
On October 11 at 2:00 p.m. the Mt. Lebanon School District will hold a dedication ceremony and open house for the community to celebrate the completion of the new high school. All are welcomed to attend the ceremony that will take place outside the new main entrance (C-20) on Horsman Drive with a reception in Center Court to follow.
United States Army Brass Quintet and Lebo Alumna Adrienne Doctor to Perform at Band Festival Tonight
The United States Army Brass Quintet, part of the United States Army Band "Pershing's Own,” performed at the Mt. Lebanon Marching Blue Devil Band Festival this weekend. Performing as part of the Quintet was SSG Adrienne Doctor, a 2007 graduate of Mt. Lebanon High School. #LeboProud
High School Library to be Named in Honor of '52 Alumnus Richard J. Madden
Mt. Lebanon High School will officially name the new high school library in honor of 1952 Mt. Lebanon High School graduate Richard J. Madden. A ribbon cutting ceremony will take place in front of the high school library at 3:00 p.m. on October 11 during the community open house to celebrate the dedication of the new high school.
Markham Brownie Troop Makes A Difference with New Buddy Bench on the Playground
This year, Markham Elementary School has a very special addition to the playground thanks to the school’s third grade Girl Scout Brownie Troop 52130. Over the summer, the troop took an ordinary wooden bench, painted and finished it into a beautiful Buddy Bench.
The 2015 Great Alumni Honored at High School Award Luncheon
Mt. Lebanon High School rolled out the red carpet to welcome back the Great Alumni of 2015 and their friends, families and teachers for the award luncheon on Sept. 25. This year's recipients are Reverend Father John Chakos '59, Jack Daly '84, Gregg Gnipp '86, Lawrence Lebowitz '80, and Josephine Posti '86.

Ten Mt. Lebanon Students Named National Merit Semifinalists
The officials of the National Merit Scholarship Corporation announced the names of approximately 16,000 Semifinalists in the 61th annual National Merit Scholarship Program and ten Mt. Lebanon High School students were among list of semifinalists. Congratulations to the following students who were selected as 2016 National Merit Semifinalist: Ian Harris, Caroline Horrigan, Joshua Kalapos, Francesca Kavalir, Nancy Lu, Ziqi Meng, Stephen Porter, Madelyn Rice, Erik Sargent, and Jiawen Zhu.

Alumni Weekend a Success at Mt. Lebanon High School
It was an Alumni Weekend at Mt. Lebanon High School kicking off last Friday with the Great Alumni recognition, then the annual Almuni Tailgate on Friday night, and ending with class reunion tours of the new high school on Saturday for the classes of 1965, 1970, and 1980.

Mark Cuban, star of the TV series "Shark Tank" and owner of the Dallas Mavericks, made a surprise visit to the high school today. Cuban, a 1976 Lebo grad and Great Alumni recipient, stopped by the high school to take a tour of his alma mater.
