Boys Lacrosse Win WPIAL Championship! The Boys Lacrosse team won the WPIAL Championship game defeating North Allegheny 9-8. Congratulations to the team and coaches. They start the PIAA tournament next Wednesday. Go Lebo!
A Senior Tradition Lives On For the past 53 years the Senior Reception, or Senior Tea as it was originally called, brings the graduating class, their parents and teachers back to the high school one last time before graduation for a chance to say good-bye. This event kicks off the many activities that start the march to graduation.
Best Wishes to Staff Retirees At the May 20, 2013 School Board meeting, 17 District employees were honored who will retire this school year. These faculty and staff members represent more than 386 years of combined service to the School District. Their dedication to their profession and devotion to our students has significantly contributed to the success of the Mt. Lebanon School District. We wish them well in their retirement.
High School Honored by Three Rivers Youth The Board of Directors of Three Rivers Youth awarded Mt. Lebanon High School with the 2013 Nellie Leadership Award in Advocacy.
School Board Approves 2013-14 Budget At the May 20, 2013 Regular Meeting, the School Board approved the 2013-2014 Budget in the amount of $83,164,503 which includes a reduction in millage rate from 27.13 mills to 22.61—a 4.52 mill decrease due to a reassessment of properties in the community, imcreasing revenu per mill by 22%. The real estate millage is set at 22.61 mills, or $2.261 on each $100 of assessed valuation.

JMS Student Receives Award for Artwork from PA American Water Thomas Jefferson Middle School sixth-grader David O’Matz earned first place for Western PA in Pennsylvania American Water’s 11th Annual “Protect Our Watersheds” Art Contest. David's artwork depicted a deer drinking from a stream entitled “Reflection.”
Newsweek Ranks Mt. Lebanon High School Among America's Best High Schools Newsweek Magazine placed Mt. Lebanon High School on the 2013 list of "America's Best High Schools" ranking the school 346 out of the top 2,000 high schools in the nation.
