Save the Date: Oct. 11 High School Dedication and Open House
On October 11 at 2:00 p.m. the Mt. Lebanon School District will hold a dedication ceremony and open house for the community to celebrate the completion of the new high school. All are welcomed to attend the ceremony that will take place outside the new main entrance (C-20) on Horsman Drive with a reception in Center Court to follow.
Welcome Back, Mark Cuban!
Mark Cuban, star of the TV series "Shark Tank" and owner of the Dallas Mavericks, made a surprise visit to the high school today. Cuban, a 1976 Lebo grad and Great Alumni recipient, stopped by the high school to take a tour of his alma mater.
Welcome Class of 2019!
The high school welcomed the Class of 2019 to freshman orientation today with Link Crew, a high school transition program. The goal of the program is to welcome freshmen and make them feel comfortable, not just on orientation day, but throughout the first year of their high school experience.
Schools Are Ready for Staff and Students
The floors are polished, the classrooms are spotless and the school grounds look beautiful-everything is set for the first day of school for students on August 31.
Social Studies Teacher Mr. Peter DiNardo Recipient of Yale Educator Award
Congratulations to High School Social Studies teacher Mr. Peter DiNardo, recently honored as a recipient of the 2015 Yale Educator Award.
Military Appreciation Night at First Home Football Game on Sept. 18
Mt. Lebanon Athletics will honor current and former military members at the second annual Military Appreciation Night on September 18 at 7:30 p.m. during the first home football game against Baldwin High School.
High School Alumni Honored with Great Alumni Award
Each year, the Mt. Lebanon High School Student Council selects outstanding alumni to be recognized with the Great Alumni Award. Congratulations to this year's awardees: the Reverend Father John Chakos '59, Jack Daly '84, Greg Gnipp '86, Lawrence Lebowitz '80, and Josephine Posti '86.
US News and World Report Ranks High School Among Best in State
Mt. Lebanon High School once again was ranked among the top schools in the state in the recent US News and World Report “Best High School Rankings 2015.”

The Mt. Lebanon School District was named a Digital School District at the NSBA Conference in Nashville.
Students Plan Ahead and Hold School Supply Drive
For the third year in a row, high school students in Dr. Mike Gullo's class held an end-of-the-school-year school supply drive to benefit a local school. Students Audrey Goodrick, Maria Palombo, Alex Terasavage, and Christina Terasavage organized the effort and collected gently used school supplies from the class's locker clean out days.

School Board Approves Nicole L. Giehll as New Hoover Principal
At the August 10, 2015 School Board meeting, the Mt. Lebanon School Board unanimously approved Nicole L. Giehll as the new principal of Hoover Elementary School, effective immediately.
School Board Approves New Jefferson Middle School Principal
The Mt. Lebanon School Board unanimously approved Kelly A. Szesterniak as the principal of Jefferson Middle School at the June 15, 2015 board meeting.
School Board Approves New High School Unit Principal
At the July 20, 2015 School Board meeting, the Mt. Lebanon School Board unanimously approved the appointment of Natasha K. Dirda as the new unit principal for Mt. Lebanon High School.
A Message From the Heart to Our Students
The end of the school year brings many opportunities for celebration and fun for students.It can also be a high risk time when the number of drug and alcohol related accidents often increase.
