High School Model UN Team Competed at Johns Hopkins Tournament

The Model UN team (22 of our students) competed at Johns Hopkins University's Model UN Tournament earlier this month. A total of 97 high schools and 1,700 students from across the U.S. attended, making the Johns Hopkins tournament one of the country's largest Model UN tournaments.
Mt. Lebanon juniors Steve Helmeci and Jason Hois won 1st place awards ("Best Delegate")in their committees and juniors Ryan Fan and Katie Brown won 2nd place ("Outstanding Delegate") in their committees.Seniors Reia Cho, Stephen Snow and Liam Shi were recognized with 3rd place awards ("Honorable Mention") in their respective committees. Each of the Mt. Lebanon students competed in a separate committee that simulated the actual United Nations. Students prepared for weeks in advance, submitted position papers and debated a total of 18 hours over the four day conference. Congratulations to our MUN team.
