Moody's Rates District Bonds Aa1-Highest in Western PA August 19, 2013
Moody's Investor Service rated the District's upcoming bonds to complete the financing of the high school project at a healthy Aa1, the highest rating of any school district in Western Pennsylvania. Moody's report states, "The Aa1 rating reflects the district's strong financial flexibility driven by conservative budgeting practices combined with a moderately-sized tax base and above average wealth levels. The rating also reflects the district's high debt position, which is expected to remain manageable given limited future borrowing plans and healthy reserve levels."
The School Board will authorize the bond issue at the August 19 School Board meeting. Read the full Moody's Report below.
