Students Honored by PA Council for Social Studies October 27, 2013

Mr. Peter DiNardo took six students to Harrisburg to both be honored by and present before the Pennsylvania Council for Social Studies (PCSS). The students were honored with the PCSS Future Leaders Award on Oct. 17 and then presented in front of 30 conference attendees sharing short versions of their papers written for their APUSH Culminating Project. Katie Brown on Emmett Till, Lani Cupo presented on the Attica Riots and Daphne Schlesinger on the American Indian Movement. The students then showed the film "Kent State: 67 Shots that Pierced the Nation" produced by Darren Samuels, Annalise Tolley and Abbu Xie. After their presentations, the Executive Director of the NCSS, Susan Griffin praised them and the entire APUSH Culminating Project for its standard of excellence.
