JMS Cheerleaders Help Out the Salvation Army with Clothing Drive December 18, 2013

Jefferson Middle School cheerleaders recently teamed up with the Salvation Army to sponsor a clothing drive for the Salvation Army Homeless Outreach Program. Cheerleader Coach Roseanne Stettle worked with Michael Riemer, Regional Director of Emergency Disaster Services with the Salvation Army to hold a clothing drive specifically for the homeless outreach program coordinated through the disaster services department. The JMS cheerleaders collected donations of coats, hats, mittens, scarves and much more, and boxed the donations for delivery. Winter clothing is greatly needed and very appreciated since the Salvation Army’s supplies have dwindled with the early blast of extreme cold weather over the past few weeks. Teams from the Salvation Army go out three to four times a week to help the homeless, according to Mr. Riemer.
