WTAE Weatherman Makes a Stop at Foster Today January 8, 2014
WTAE Chief Meteorologist Mike Harvey and Lebo alum Zach McAdoo, a program presenter for the Carnegie Science Center, visited Foster today.
WTAE Chief Meteorologist Mike Harvey visited Foster Elementary School today to teach students about the different types of severe weather-including the extreme cold we experienced the past few day. Be sure to watch WTAE Channel 4 tonight to catch the Foster assembly. Joining Mike was Mt. Lebanon grad Class of 2004, Zach McAdoo, a program presenter for the Carnegie Science Center. Zach amazed students with an array of science experiments that illustrated wind velocity in a hurricane, static electricity and air pressure. Zach wanted to give a special shout out to his high school teachers Mrs. Sherri Miller and Mr. Peter DiNardo.
Foster Principal Jason Ramsey presented Mike Harvey with a check for Project Bundle Up donated by Foster PTA. It was an afternoon of science fun at Foster the students won’t soon forget.
