Congratulations to Andrew Buda (140 lbs) for placing 7th and Greg Perri (145 lbs) for placing 3rd. Both wrestlers were recognized as top wrestlers in the county for their performances at the Allegheny County Wrestling Tournament this past weekend.


Lebo wrestlers defeated the Montour Spartans 57-16. Winning matches for Lebo were Stan Kochanek, Chris Johns, Andrew Buda, Greg Perri, Jack Hnath, Tim  Kiernan, Ian MacLeod, and Connor O'Hara. Winning their matches by forfeit were Andy Buttlar, and Andy Bianco. The lebo jv wrestlers also had a good night winning 3 out of 4 bouts. Congratulations to Adam Eckel, and Evan Brailey. Special congratulations to Steve Gannon for defeating last years section runner-up in his exhibition match. 

The Blue Devil Wrestlers were able to avenge last years upset loss to Blackhawk by soundly defeating them 67-9. Winning matches for Lebo were Stan Kochanek, Chris Johns, Greg Perri, Andy Bianco, Jack Hnath, J.T. Buda, Tim Kiernan, and Ian MacLeod. Receiving forfeits for Lebo were Andy Buttlar, Adam Kemerer, Bill Buono, and Andrew Buda. Also special congratulations to Khalil Thomas for winning his exhibition match by fall in 0:21.

Congratulations to the Blue Devils for shutting out Moon High School 76-0. It was a great team effort. Despite receiving a number of forfeits, Lebo was a perfect 7 out of 7 matches wrestled. Special congratulations to Andrew Buda for defeating the 4th ranked wrestler in the WPIAL 6-2. Also, winning their head-2-head match-ups were Adam Kemerer, Stan Kochanek, Chris Johns, Bill Buono, J.T. Buda, and Connor O'Hara. Receiving forfeits were Andy Buttlar, Tom Bellotti, Greg Perri, Scotty Allen, Jack Hnath, Tim Kiernan, and Ian MacLeod.

Our rescheduled match with Blackhawk is for next Tuesday, January 8, at Blackhawk, at 7:00 PM.  The bus will leave at 4:30 PM.
 
Our rescheduled match with Trinity is next Saturday, January 12 in a triangular with West Allegheny.  Bus leaves at 10:30 AM.
