Jim Graeber

Name:  Jim Graeber

Graduation:  Class of 1979

Location:  I have continued to follow Lebo Wrestling.  I work in Chicago but

live in Naperville IL.  My wife and I run a youth wrestling program at

Naperville Central High School that now has 80 kids in it.  This is

our 12th year.

I was one of the kids who will never forget the summer wrestling program that Mr Lamp had.  How could I not try and continue the tradition outside the state?

Our club is split into two parts.  The Panthers, which is our youth

program and Phoenix, which is our high school team that goes to

Disney for AAU High School Championships every year in June.   http://

www.napervillewrestling.com is our website.

I also coach wrestling at Naperville Central High School as a volunteer.  You can see that

website by clicking on NCHS or going direct to it here http://

www.ncusd203.org/central/athletics/wrestling/

Family:  All three of my boys wrestle.  2 of them are on Varsity right now

(Senior 171 and Junior 160)  I also have an 8th grader who very well

could be varsity next year.

Memories:  I have never forgotten my time as a Lebo wrestler.  Jeff Perri

remains a good friend of mine to this day.  I always felt like I owed

it to Mr Lamp and Mr Jones to give back to the sport of wrestling as

much as it gave me.  It is the world’s oldest sport...and in my

opinion the greatest.

It is great to see the coaches that are at Mt Lebanon now.  I made

the boards that were in the wrestling room for a long time (may still

be) with the names of past champions.  Seeing Bob Harwick’s name now

on the coaching staff for youth wrestling is outstanding.  Chris

Perri?? how could you NOT have a Perri there!!

Good Luck Lebo!!

Jim Graeber
