Fondest Memories: Greatest thrills: I was a member of the UNDEFEATED 1969 Mt. Lebanon wrestling team. We posted six shutouts and dominated both the dual meet and tournament seasons! The team featured a host of PIAA CHAMPIONS, WPIAL CHAMPIONS & WPIAL FINALISTS.

Quoting George Lamprinakos--- “My 1969 team was not only the best team in Mt. Lebanon history –but probably the BEST TEAM OF ALL TIME!” North Allegheny’s team of 1982 would be right up there.
We were the “BEST OF THE BEST”! The 1970 Class of WPIAL Champs placed ALL 12 WPIAL titlists (12 weights at that time) in the PIAA finals. EIGHT of the twelve won PIAA Championships with two others losing in overtime. In the thirty seven years that have followed NO OTHER WPIAL CLASS has ever come close to accomplishing that feat!!
