Mt. Lebanon School District Highlights

Standard and Poor’s “School Matters” named the Mt. Lebanon School District an "Outperforming School District". Mt. Lebanon ranked in the top 47 districts in the State, outperforming demographically similar school districts in reading and math proficiency for four consecutive years (2001-02; 2002-03; 2003-04; 2004-05; 2005-06).
Expansion Management Magazine rated Mt. Lebanon School District one of the top school districts in the country in their Education Quotient 2007. The District received a Gold Medal Rating for outstanding academic achievement.
U.S. News and World Report named Mt. Lebanon High School as one of "America's Best High Schools" in the 2008 ranking of the nations top high schools.
Newsweek Magazine named Mt. Lebanon HIgh School on the list of "Top U.S. High Schools" in 2008.

Mt. Lebanon School District Named Among "Best 100 Communities for Music Education” — a nationwide survey that identifies school districts committed to music education as a conduit for success in school and in life.
Washington Elementary School was awarded a National Blue Ribbon by the U. S. Department of Education in 2003-04.
Lincoln Elementary School was awarded a National Blue Ribbon by the U.S. Department of Education in 2000-2001 and 2002-2003.
Mt. Lebanon High School was awarded a National Blue Ribbon the U.S. Department of Education in 1983-84; 1990-91; and 1997-98.
The Class of 2008 has 9 National Merit Semifinalists. The Class of 2007 graduated 411 students, 96 percent went on to pursue full-time or Armed Service education.
The High School Rifle Team won the 2008 Pennsylvania Championship.
Girls’ Volleyball won the 2007 WPIAL Championship.
Girls’ Golf won the 2007 WPIAL Championship.
