Mt. Lebanon School District Highlights
Pittsburgh Business Times’ ranked the Mt. Lebanon School District #2 in the region and #2 in the State in the 2013 Guide to Western Pennsylvania Schools.
Pittsburgh Business Times’ ranked Lincoln Elementary School #1 in the region for third grade in the 2013 Guide to Western Pennsylvania Schools.
U.S. News and World Report 2013 Best High School rankings placed Mt. Lebanon High School #11 in the state and 2nd in Western Pennsylvania. Mt. Lebanon ranked #510 out of the 21,000 high schools ranked.
Newsweek Magazine placed Mt. Lebanon High School on the list of "America's Best High Schools" in 2013, ranking the school 346 out of the top 2,000 high schools in the nation.
The USDA awarded all seven Mt. Lebanon School District elementary schools the HealthierUS School Challenge Bronze award.
Mt. Lebanon School District Named Among "Best 100 Communities for Music Education” for 2013 by the NAMM Foundation— a nationwide survey that identifies school districts committed to music education as a conduit for success in school and in life.
The Frick Art and History Center selected the Mt. Lebanon School District for the 2010 Roy A. Hunt Foundation Award for Commitment to Education in the Arts and Humanities. This was the first time an entire school district was honored with this award.
Washington Elementary School was awarded a National Blue Ribbon by the U. S. Department of Education in 2003-04.
Lincoln Elementary School was awarded a National Blue Ribbon by the U.S. Department of Education in 2000-2001 and 2002-2003.
Mt. Lebanon High School was awarded a National Blue Ribbon by the U.S. Department of Education in 1983-84, 1990-91, and 1997-98.
