| The number one priority of Mt. Lebanon Schools District’s Food Service Program is to provide nutritious, well-balanced meals to all of its students with the focus on quality, variety and appeal.
The menu’s are designed to meet the federal guidelines of the National School Breakfast and School Lunch Program and must be in compliance with the Nutritional Standards and the appropriate nutrient and calorie levels for the ages/grades of children as set forth by USDA.
Even though the High School is not on the federal school lunch program,all meals served in the district must follow the most recent recommendations from the USDA Dietary Guidelines for Americans.
In an effort to promote a healthy environment, all food items are oven-baked including french-fries. 75% of all sandwiches are served on whole grain rolls, a majority of breaded items are whole grain such as chicken patties and nuggets, garden burgers and meatless entrees are offered daily, as well as a minimum of 3 fruit choices and 3 vegetables choices everyday.
Good nutrition is essential to growing children. The food service staff is dedicated to helping develop healthy eating habits for everyone in the district.

Senior High School- Café Lebo
|
There is something for everyone at Café Lebo, along with the usual favorites there are plenty of healthy lunch choices. Grab n Go fresh salads, Upscale and Gourmet Entrees which include chicken breast sandwich on a french roll, turkey caprese foccacia, roasted vegetable wrap and an extensive selection of hot entrees. Students can choose from a freshly made deli sandwich bar with made to order wraps, pizza bar, self serve burgers, spicy chicken sandwiches and many more. Everyday there are fresh fruits, bagels, yogurts, smoothies and a selection of nutritious snacks. Pizza Delivery Day is Friday. |

Gourmet Entrees include Deluxe Italian Hoagie, Chicken Caesar Wrap etc. and every Wednesday is Pizza Delivery Day for the Gourmet Lunch Price of $2.35 for the entire meal.
We also offer a wide selection of nutritious lunch options on our
HEALTHY HAPPENINGS ALA CARTE LINE which features freshly made deli-sandwiches, a variety of GRAB N GO salads, bagels & cream cheese, Gourmet salads and wraps plus a selection of healthy snacks, yogurts and ice-cream. This line includes ALL YOU CAN EAT FRUITS AND VEGETABLES with any meal purchase.
Continental Breakfast is $1.00 and includes a choice of cereal, muffin, bagel or breakfast sandwich with eggs, chilled juice or fresh fruit and milk.
