Activities Calendar for 2012-2013 Clubs and Activities

The Activities Office (AO) is located on the 6th floor of the high school building. All students are encouraged to visit the AO to learn about activities and volunteer opportunities that are available to them.

The Class of 2014 Student Council Officers for the Mt. Lebanon High School student body  senior year have been elected!

Presidents:  Nick Lies and Billy Moorhead

Vice Presidents:  Sam Blehar and Will Emanuel

Secretaries:  Carly Bellini and Danielle Deiseroth

Treasurers:  Becca Welsh and 1 to be voted in, on June 6, 2013  

(A Special Election for the unfilled Treasurer position will be held on June 6, 2013 beginning at 12:01pm and ending at 12:31pm.  All Juniors who are members of the Junior Class Student Council can submit their name as a candidate until May 30, 2013.  All Juniors who are members of the Junior Class Student Council can vote.  The election will be supervised by Mr. Pete Bouvy, Advisor for the Class of 2014, Ms. Erin Wright, Unit Principal and Mrs. Judith Kolko, Director of Student Activities.)

CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL!!!

 

THE JUNIOR CLASS IS SPONSORING A COLLECTION OF TOILETRIES, BATH TOWELS, TOTE BAGS, BLANKETS AND OTHER ITEMS FOR KIDS IN FOSTER CARE.  THIS EVENT WILL BEGIN ON MONDAY, MAY 1st  AND CONTINUE UNTIL FRIDAY, MAY 31st.  ALL DONATED ITEMS WILL BENEFIT PRESSLEY RIDGE.  Donations can be dropped off in the box in your homeroom!

PROM TICKETS are now on sale!!!  After you have completed the  DANCE AGREEMENT for yourself, bring it with you and buy a ticket for $60.  If you are bringing a guest, they must also complete a DANCE AGREEMENT and have it in hand when the ticket is purchased.  The ticket price will be $60 if the ticket is bought by May 17th.  The ticket price will be $70 if the ticket is bought on May 20th or May 21st or May 22nd.  Tickets sales end at 4:00pm on May 22nd.  Tickets will not be sold at the Omni William Penn. 

 The SENIOR RECEPTION will be held on Wednesday, May 22nd.  This long standing tradition is an event that allows our seniors to introduce their parents/guardians to all their high school teachers, administrators and School District officials.  The Reception will be held in Center Court and begins at 2:45pm and ends by 4:00pm.  We look forward to everyone from the Class of 2013 joining us for refreshments as we wish them the best for their future.

The Class of 2014 SENIOR BOAT RIDE tickets are now on sale!  The event will take place on Sunday, September 15, 2013.  Tickets cost $30 each until June 6th and then the price will increase to $35.  Please complete a Dance Agreement and bring it with you when you buy your ticket at the Activities Office (AO).  Come join the long tradition of starting your senior year activities with a fun night of dancing and cruising the three rivers with your classmates!!!

CAP & GOWN packets will be distributed in the Activities Office (AO) on Friday, May 31st  and Monday June 3rd.  Included in each packet are two tickets per family in case indoor seating is needed during the Commencement ceremony.  The cost of the cap and gown is $33.00.  If you are receiving an honor cord, the price is $39, which includes a $6 depost for the honor cord.  Students can return the honor cord and receive a $6 refund.  If a student is using someone else's cap and gown, a 2013 tassel must be purchased for $6.  If a studetn sold magazines earlier in the school year, he/she may use the money that is remaining in their personal account to pay for the cap and gown or to pay for Prom.  Please call Mrs. Janet Ruprecht, 412-344-2057, if you have any questions about this subject.

Want to be a Mt. Lebanon Junior Commissioner?  This is a great way to learn more about how local government operates and to see whether you might be interested in a career in public service.  Application forms and a more detailed description of the role is available in the Activities Office.  The deadline to submit a letter of recommendation and the completed form is June 15, 2013.  All information is to be turned in to Mrs. Susan Morgans, Public Information Officer, Mt. Student Council: All students are invited to join Student Council. Student Council members help to organize high school projects such as assemblies, dances, community service events, and various other programs within the school.
