Curriculum
Mt. Lebanon offers a demanding College Preparatory Program supplemented with strong offerings in Fine Arts, Practical Arts and Business.
ADVANCED PLACEMENT - Courses are offered in fourteen subjects. These are designated AP on the transcript. The AP courses include: Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, English, Environmental Science, European History, Languages (French, German, Spanish), (BC) Calculus, Physics, Statistics, Studio Art and United States History.
HONORS - A rigorous course; demands a higher level of analytical reading ability; challenged at a very high level of cognitive thinking. HONORS courses are the highest level of academic course leading to Advanced Placement work.
ACADEMIC - College preparatory demands an average to above average level of analytical reading ability; has material which is challenging at a high cognitive level.
One credit (1/2 unit) is given for a semester's (18 weeks) work. Two credits are the equivalent of one unit. Partial credit is based on the number of class periods per week.

Class Rank and QPA
Effective with the class of 2005-06, Mt. Lebanon High School has eliminated class rank. Weighted and unweighted quality point averages appear on each student transcript.
