The Mt. Lebanon Chapter of the National Honor Society performs one major annual service project. This year, the officers chose to do a walk to raise money for and support Project Bundle Up. Members of NHS are asked to collect pledges and then come and participate in the walk on Saturday, November 22nd at 10 AM at the high school football field. (In case of heavy rain or storms we will move it to Saturday, December 13th, an announcement will be made here if necessary).
You can download and print copies of the pledge form from http://www.mtlsd.org/highschool/nhs/stuff/walksignup.pdf - print as many as you need and collect the money (preferably by check) as you go. Bring the collected money and forms with you to the walk.
In addition to the walk this year the officers have chosen to help the school through an additional, ongoing project. The high school, middle school, and elementary schools are looking for high school-aged tutors in all subjects and at all grade levels. If you are interested in helping talk to any of the officers or Ms. Murray to sign up. Since this is not the main annual NHS service project the time spent working as a tutor will count toward your required community service hours.
Jonathan Tate, NHS Vice-President, is taking charge of these projects, if you have questions you can find him before homeroom in room 334.
Watch this page for further details as they become available.
