Student Resource Center
Student Resource Center is a subscription database that includes full-text articles
from reference books, journals, magazines and newspapers.  You may search in the 
following ways: person search, subject, keyword, classroom topic, or timeline.  Many 
articles contain multimedia files of pictures or sound.  In the library, SRC will open 
automatically; to use it at home you must have a password.  Please see Mrs. Smith for 
the remote access login.  

 

Power Library
The POWER Library is offered as a service of Pennsylvania's public libraries, school libraries and the State Library. The POWER library allows you to access thousands of full text periodical articles, newspapers, a major encyclopedia, plus photographs, pictures, charts, maps, and reference materials. To access POWER Library in the high school library, simply click on the words or icon.  You may also access POWER Library from home. To log-in from home, you can link to POWER Library from the Mount Lebanon Public Library page and enter the number on the back of your library card. 

 
ABC-CLIO Social Studies Databases
The ABC-CLIO Databases offer extensive information when you are in need of information about World History, American History and Governments.  Follow the log-in instructions on the next screen for access.  Please see Mrs. Smith for the remote access login.
 

Bloom's Literary Reference Online
Based on Facts On File’s extensive print literature collection, Literary Reference Online examines the lives and works of great writers throughout history. Unlike many resources, this database not only contains information on thousands of authors and their major and minor works but also an archive of 35,000 characters, as well as extensive glossary and subject entries featuring historical events and their impact on literature. Please see Mrs. Smith for the username and password for home access. Csmith@mtlsd.net

 
 The Pittsburgh Post Gazette Online Edition
This is a paid subscription to the PG.  It offers much more access than the public PG webpage.  You will be able to search their archive, download pages and save electronic versions of the actual newspaper pages. Please e-mail Mrs. Smith at Csmith@mtlsd.net for the username and password.
