About Us

Jefferson Elementary School PTA is a unit member of the Mt. Lebanon Council PTA, the Pennsylvania PTA, and the National PTA. We welcome and appreciate the support of our parents and teachers and encourage both to join and be active members of Jefferson Elementary School's PTA. An active PTA can enhance the school experience for all our students.

The Jefferson Elementary PTA raises funds to support programs such as: cultural arts, parent education, health and safety, and monthly newsletter mailings, and many others. If you are interested in volunteering for any of the PTA committees, chairpersons can be contacted by clicking here.

PTA Mission

to support and speak on behalf of children and youth in the schools and before governmental agencies and other organizations that make decisions affecting children;
to assist parents in developing the skills they need to raise and protect their children; and
to encourage parent and public involvement in the public schools of this state.

PTA Purpose

To promote the welfare of children and youth in home, school, community, and place of worship.
To raise the standards of home life.
To secure adequate laws for the care and protection of children and youth.
To bring into closer relation the home and the school, that parents and teachers may cooperate intelligently in the education of children and youth.
To develop between educators and the general public such united efforts as will secure for all children and youth the highest advantages in physical, mental, social, and spiritual education.
