The traffic on Moffett Street seems to be a concern for many parents, especially as the winter weather continues to be troublesome for all of us.  Our number one concern is for student safety both before and after school.  To help ensure student safety on a regular basis, please remember the following details about dropping off and picking up students before and after school:

1.)    Please adhere to regular traffic rules on this street. 

2.)    The drop off point is limited to five minute parking for drop off and pick up only.  If you are going to be longer than five minutes, park in the Jefferson Middle School lot.  Please do not sit and block the drop off spots for long periods of time as that inhibits other families trying to drop off their own children.

3.)    Because Moffett gets so backed up, please pull up as far as you can to help the traffic flow.  There are spots available for drop off all along Moffett Street.

4.)    Watch for students crossing in the cross walk – we have no person directing student traffic close to the school, so be exceptionally vigilant in watching for students who are trying to get inside on time.
