The Mt. Lebanon School District provides character education. In the elementary schools throughout the District this instruction is based on seven universal attributes. These are introduced in kindergarten. One of the ways of presenting the attributes is through quality literature that is read aloud by the classroom teacher and then discussed by the class. Service learning projects in the elementary schools are based on these lessons and are structured to end with reflection upon these ideas. Students focus on one attribute each month. Each attribute is also assigned a color. Each month this newsletter will share with you some brief information on one of the attributes.
Lincoln Elementary Students presented the attribute RESPECT at the October School Board meeting.
