There may be times when the Mt. Lebanon Superintendent will determine that there is need to delay the start of the school day or on rare occasions to close the schools. At such times, an automated telephone call will be made to every parent in the district with the necessary details. Additionally, announcements will be made on local radio/television/cable stations. The following are recommended stations to tune to for the most current information:
KDKA 1020 AM and television
WTAE 1250 AM and television
WHTX 96.1 FM
Mt. Lebanon Cable Television
When emergency dismissal is necessary during the school day, no student will be permitted to return home without notification of parents/guardians. It will be at the discretion of the Commonwealth and the Mt. Lebanon Board of School Directors to determine if and when those days shall be rescheduled.
Do not call the Mt. Lebanon Police Department for information regarding school closings. |
