Character Education

CHARACTER   EDUCATION

The Mt. Lebanon School District provides character education.  In the elementary schools throughout the District this instruction is based on seven universal attributes.  These are introduced in kindergarten.  One of the ways of presenting the attributes is through quality literature that is read aloud by the classroom teacher and then discussed by the class.  Service learning projects in the elementary schools are based on these lessons and are structured to end with reflection upon these ideas.  Students focus on one attribute each month.  For more information about each attribute, please select the Character Education link above the heading.
