"Take a Vet to School Day"

"Take a Vet to School Day" was celebrated
November 12th at Lincoln Elementary.
Sixty veterans which included parents, grandparents,
other family relatives, and
community members came to be honored
for their
service to our country. |

The assembly was organized
by Mrs. Jill Majestic who wanted to honor the veterans, current servicemen and women,
and her brother,
Lt. Commander Edward Padinske.
The day included musical tributes
directed by Miss Greer, |

thank you letters and pieces of art work, |
|
and a visit from Sen. John Pippy. |
 |

The "Candy Man", Mr. Doug Yannascoli, announced that the Lincoln students donated 1,203 pounds of their Halloween candy to be shipped over seas to military units in Iraq and Afghanistan. |

We were fortunate to have two former principals participate in our Veteran's Day program. Pictured with our current principal, Mr. James Salerno, are Dr. Larry Snyder and Mr. Don Dunbar both veterans. |
