Markham Gardens
The mission of our website is to provide an educational and informational supplement that serves to preserve and
maintain our Habitat Garden and Markham Elementary School grounds year after year, season after season, and to
provide inspiration to those who visit it.

Native Habitat Garden - planted almost exclusively
with native western Pennsylvania species. |

Rain Garden - This garden utilizes the runoff from the sidewalk and ball court and prevents erosion. |

Butterfly Garden - designed to attract and support butterflies through all stages of development. |

Playground - plants here provide shade
and stimulate creative play. |
