Congressional Nomination Deadline for Military Academies

Students interested in seeking a congressional nomination for the United States Air Force (USAFA), Naval (USNA), Military (USMA) or Merchant Marine (USMMA) be advised, the deadline for Congressman Murphy's academy nomination is approaching. To be considered for an appointment to a service academy, an applicant must meet the eligibility requirements established by law and be nominated from an authorized person including a Member of the United States Senate or the House of Representatives. Congressman Murphy may nominate applicants who are legally domiciled within the boundaries of the eighteenth District of Pennsylvania.
The completed application packet must be received in Congressman Murphy's office no later than Friday, October 6, 2017. Application and instructions can be found at https://murphy.house.gov/service-academy-nominations .
A Complete Application Must Include the Following Items:
1. Completed application.
2. 1 academic recommendation and 1 extracurricular recommendation.
3. An official copy of your high school transcript sent directly from your high school guidance office.
4. A copy of your SAT or ACT score report. The Congressman's SAT Score Reporting Code # is 2391 and the ACT Code # is 7652.
5. A recent wallet-size photograph of yourself.
