Mt. Lebanon High School's 2017

UNITED STATES VETERANS RECOGNITION

Mr. Rolf Briegel, a Science teacher, served in the US Navy. He was a Lieutenant stationed on the USS Nassau LHA4 which spent time in Norfolk, Virginia, the Caribbean and the Mediterranean.

Math teacher, Mr. Tom Jackson, served for twenty years in the US Air Force. He spent four years at the Air Force Academy, then he was stationed at Hanscom Air Force Base in Massachusetts until 1987. After re-enlisting in the Air Force Reserves, Mr. Jackson was stationed in Pittsburgh from 1989 until 2008.

Mr. Paul LaQuatra is an English teacher. He served in the US Navy from 1972 to 1976. He was stationed on the USS Reeves and the USS Hassayampa in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. He achieved the rank of Petty Officer, 2nd class.

Mr. Anthony Marcucci, a member of the school district's bus and auxiliary maintenance staff served in the US Navy from 1998-1991. He was a Hull Technician, 2nd class on the USS Sterett in Subic Bay, Philippines.

Social Studies teacher, Mr. Thad Merriman, was an Intelligence Analyst for the US Army from 1994 - 1999. He was stationed in Hawaii during his tour of duty.

Mr. Chuck Stevenson, the school district's shipper and receiver, served in the US Army from 1962 to 1964. He was a Specialist, 4th class stationed in Fort Gordon, Georgia and Fort Sill, Oklahoma.

Mrs. Suzanne Williams of the High School's Health Office was a Lieutenant in the Navy Nurse Corps from 1981 - 1984. She was stationed at Naval Regional Medical Center in Portsmouth, Virginia.
