PTA Council Officers

The executive board provides support and leadership for all Mt. Lebanon School District PTAs, including training for local unit PTA officers. Council PTA also works with the superintendent, MLEA, school board, and other school administrators.

The Council PTA president presides at all meetings of Mt. Lebanon Council PTA and coordinates the work of the Council PTA officers and committees. The president works with the superintendent, MLEA, and the school board to promote the education of our students.

Additionally the president provides support and training for Mt. Lebanon local unit PTA presidents and assists other officers as needed.

The Council PTA 1st vice president acts as an aide to the president, plans the calendar and programs, and coordinates the installation dinner. The 1st VP works closely with any committee chairperson designated by the president.

Dr. Timothy Steinhauer

The Council PTA 3rd vice president, the district superintendent, shall act as an advisor and liaison between the PTA and the school district.

The Council PTA treasurer has custody of the funds of the Council PTA, including the Georgia Pogue Scholarship Fund, maintains a full account of the funds, and provides a statement of such at Council PTA general meetings. The treasurer is authorized to cosign Council PTA checks and makes disbursements as authorized by the president, executive board, or Council PTA in accordance with the budget. The treasurer also provides an annual report of the financial condition of the Council PTA.

Additionally, the treasurer serves on the Budget Committee.

The treasurer also provides support and training for Mt. Lebanon local unit PTA treasurers and assists local unit PTA presidents on financial issues as needed.

The Council PTA recording secretary shall record and prepare the minutes of all Council PTA general meetings. In addition, the recording secretary should file all records, have a current copy of the bylaws, maintain a membership list, and notify committee chairs of their appointments.

The recording secretary also serves on the Installation Banquet Committee.

The Council PTA historian shall compile a record of the achievements of the Council PTA for the current school year and evaluate the local unit PTA books.
