Mt. Lebanon High School was well represented at the PMEA All-State Festival on April 19-22 in Erie. The students who represented the high school in the Pennsylvania Music Educator All-State Choir, Band, Wind Ensemble, and Orchestra are:
Alexis Schulte-Albert, string bass; Reed Ulery, French horn; Zhen Yu Ding, tenor; Juliana Slater, trombone; Allen Fry, euphonium and Charles Broussard, flute. These students were selected after participating in highly competitive auditions at PMEA District and Region festivals. Congratulations to these very talented students and their music teachers Mr. Robert Vogel, Mr. Jason Cheskawich and Mr. Ethan LaPlaca on this outstanding achievement.
The Pennsylvania Music Educators Association (PMEA) is a statewide nonprofit organization of over 4,500 members, dedicated to promoting the musical development of all Pennsylvanians. The present membership evolved from a small group of band directors dating from 1933. Today, the organization includes those engaged in music instruction at all levels, from preschool through college and university, as well as those in the music industry, merchandising and publishing. The organization promotes and supports quality music education, learning and performance as well as promoting and supporting music education in schools and communities.
