Third grade artists were hard at work in the Art Studio, creating sculptures inspired by Claes Oldenburg, a famous Swedish sculptor. Oldenburg is best known for his public art installations, which feature very large objects—often times with a theme of food. Our talented artists started by selecting their favorite foods, then sketched/painted/cut/glued/and stuffed them to create their larger-than-life sculptures. {Yum, yum! Give me some!} Please click on the title for more pictures!

The tree is as tall as a sky scraper The bee flew by and I heard, Buzz. There must be 1,000,000 plants in the garden! Birds are like blueberries, beautiful and blue. The sun smiled down at me. The wind whispered softly to itself.
