Mt. Lebanon High School will present The Pajama Game on May 3-6 at 7:30 PM in the High School Auditorium. The Pajama Game was awarded the 1955 Tony for Best Musical and later claimed the award for Best Revival of a Musical, proving that the story is truly timeless. It is a lively show with an energetic score by Richard Adler and Jerry Ross. Magnificent songs, fabulous dancing, and as always, an extraordinary “Mt. Lebanon” set will combine to make this a must-see Mt. Lebanon musical.
Conditions at the Sleep-Tite Pajama Factory are anything but peaceful as sparks fly between new superintendent, Sid Sorokin, and Babe Williams, leader of the union grievance committee. Their stormy relationship comes to a head when the workers strike for a 7 ½ cent pay increase, setting off not only a conflict between management and labor, but a battle of the sexes as well.
Hit songs include Steam Heat, Hernando’s Hideaway, and Hey There. The Pajama Game is a perfect show for escaping to a past era for fantastic comedy and tremendous toe-tapping entertainment at its finest.
Tickets will be sold at the Box Office in the Auditorium Lobby for one week only during musical rehearsals on April 24,25,27,28 from 6-7pm and April 26, 3-4:30pm.
Adult tickets are $12 and students are $8.
Gold Card holders have free admission.
