John R. Allison

Mt. Lebanon School District

John Allison was appointed Superintendent of Schools for the Mt. Lebanon School District in June, 2007. Before coming to Mt. Lebanon, Mr. Allison served as the Deputy Superintendent of the Grapevine-Colleyville Independent School District, located in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, since 2002. Prior to his tenure in Grapevine, Mr. Allison worked in the Shawnee Mission School District, Kansas, for much of his career where he held several administrative positions including Associate Superintendent for Education Services. Mr. Allison began his career in education as a high school Social Studies teacher.

Mr. Allison served as a member of the Grapevine Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and the Board of Directors for Kansas City Public Television (KCPT). He was appointed representative of the Kansas Commissioner of Education to the State Education and Accreditation Advisory Board. He also taught a graduate course in technology at Saint Louis University.

Mr. Allison received his Bachelor of Science from the University of Kansas and a Masters of Science from Emporia State  University.
