Welcome to Washington Elementary School! 

 Washington Elementary is located in the heart of Mt. Lebanon’s business district on Washington Road.  There are approximately 380 students Kindergarten through fifth grades with over 40 faculty and staff members who are dedicated to the well-being and success of the students. 

 

At Washington, we strive to provide a well rounded education for all students.  We balance rigorous academics with our character education and bullying prevention programs.  Instructionally, students participate in balanced literacy program which includes phonics, phonemic awareness, vocabulary, fluency, and comprehension, conceptual and skills based mathematics, hands-on and experienced based science and social studies, and writer’s workshop. We are here to provide the best education to students through collaboration and communication.  We believe that all students can learn and respect that they learn in different ways.

 

Washington is an exciting, diverse, and enthusiastic place to be.  We consistently look for ways to continually improve our school.  It is a great school and community to be a part of in every aspect.  We look forward to being a part of your child’s educational journey.
