Ronald P. Davis, Ed.D.
Dr. Ron Davis serves as the Assistant Superintendent of Secondary Education, and prior to this appointment in 2011, he served as Mt. Lebanon High School's Principal from 2007-2011. Before returning to his hometown of Pittsburgh, PA in 2007, Dr. Davis served as the Principal of a middle/high school in southern New Jersey. Dr. Davis’ career started as a teacher, coach, and athletic director for a large urban high school in South Florida.
Dr. Davis received his Bachelor of Science degree in Secondary Education and a Master of Arts degree in Counseling and Educational Psychology from Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania. In 1999, his doctoral degree in Educational Leadership was conferred from Nova Southeastern University.
Dr. Davis is a Commissioner for the Middle States Association of Elementary and Secondary Schools, serves as the CSS Chair of the Membership & Accreditation Committee, and chairs validation teams for schools seeking accreditation from the Middle States Association: Commission on Elementary and Secondary Schools. He is a local, state, and national speaker and has published a number of articles, including the lead chapter in Success Simplified, entitled Building Leadership Capacity: Individuals, Teams, and Organizations.
Dr. Davis has taught courses for the University of Phoenix Online, Masters of Education program and served as a Faculty Supervisor for student teachers. He has taught for and served as a mentor for aspiring principals in the University of Pennsylvania’s Educational Leadership Program for Aspiring Principals.
