Mt. Lebanon School District students from grades 5-12 competed with over 850 other students from across the country at the 57th Academic Games Leagues of America (AGLOA) National Tournament in Atlanta, GA. These students qualified to compete at the national level during local tournaments that were held throughout the school year. Students participated in six games at the national tournament including Equations, On-Sets, Propaganda, Presidents, Current Events, and - this year's theme game - the History of Rock and Roll.
Students who qualified and attended this year’s national competition are:
- High School students Adam Ash, Keerthi Girish, Eli Seaman, Owen Byrne, Dom Rowles, and Sam Maxim
- Mellon Middle School student Liam Novosat-Clark
- Jefferson Middle School students Graham Smith, Nithin Girish, Teddy Carney, Frankie Guadagnino, Thomas Junker, and Logan Prosser
- Lincoln Elementary School students Preston Bloomburg and Garren Evan
The following Mt. Lebanon players received awards and distinctions at the national competition.
- Senior Division - 11th and 12th grades:
- High School seniors Keerthi Girish, Adam Ash, and Eli Seaman won 1st place team in Propaganda.
- High School senior Adam Ash won 3rd place overall in Presidents and tied for 10th place overall in Propaganda.
- High School senior Eli Seaman won 4th place overall in Current Events, 10th place overall in Presidents, and tied for 10th place overall in Propaganda.
- Junior Division - 9th and 10th grades:
- High School sophomore Samuel Maxim and Owen Byrne won 6th place team in Current Events.
- High School sophomore Dom Rowles won 2nd place team in Current Events and 6th place overall in Current Events
- Middle Division - 7th and 8th grades:
- Jefferson Middle School students Graham Smith and Nithin Girish won 4th place team in Current Events.
- Jefferson Middle School student Graham Smith won 7th place overall for Current Events.
- Elementary Division - 4th, 5th, and 6th grades:
- Jefferson Middle School student Thomas Junker won 4th place team in Current Events and 10th place overall in Current Events.
- Jefferson Middle School student Logan Prosser won 6th place team in Current Events.
