Dr. Irvin Honored with Margaret Smith Award

Congratulations to Assistant Superintendent of Elementary Education, Dr. Marybeth Irvin, who was named the 2022 recipient of The Women’s Caucus - Margaret Smith Award.

The Pennsylvania Association School Administrators Women's Caucus honors two individuals annually for special awards of recognition.  Both awards are based on four criteria: leadership, significant contributions in inspiring women and/or their peers, significant accomplishments, and evidence of continuing professional and/or personal growth.  The Margaret Smith Leadership Award is given to a female administrator who has demonstrated proven leadership in education. The award is named for Dr. Margaret Smith, first president of the Women’s Caucus, a former Pennsylvania superintendent and a former PA Secretary of Education.

Dr. Ivin's nomination highlighted her dedication and leadership in all aspects of her work in education and her focus on the important Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion efforts in the District.

Congratulations to Dr. Irvin on this well deserved award!
