School Board Approves New Unit Principal for the High School

Lorien Carnahan Moyer was unanimously approved by the School Board this evening as the new Unit Principal for the high school. 

Ms. Moyer is currently the Assistant Principal at Canon-McMillan High School. Prior to her current position, Ms. Moyer served in a variety of roles at Intermediate Unit 1. She also taught History and AP classes at the Chartiers-Houston School District.

Ms. Moyer  has a bachelor’s degree from West Liberty University, a master’s in education from the University of Pittsburgh and is currently pursuing a doctorate in education from the University of Pittsburgh.

Although Ms. Moyer’s start date is still to be determined, she plans to begin working with Mr. Joel Thompson on a smooth  transition process.
