The MinDen: A Space to Unplug and Unwind

Students, start the New Year off with a visit to the MinDen. This is a dedicated space in the high school to simply rest, breathe, and relax. It is a truly quiet space that is tech and phone free.

Starting on Day 3 when students return from the break, the MinDen will be open all periods for study hall. On Day 4, halfway through lunch period, visit the MinDen for various mindfulness practices and on Day 1, halfway through lunch, students can come down for yoga. Special events will be offered during the lunch periods and after school throughout the year that will include  visits from therapy dogs, guest speakers and a maker time to create “my intent”  bracelets. Check the QR code’s located throughout the building for more information.

The MinDen will be open during finals between 7:30a.m. and 11:30a.m. Plan to stop by during this busy time for a respite.

This room was a student, teacher, administrator collaboration with many of the items in the room created by students, including the cushions and art work. Inspired by the mindfulness space at CMU, this room is for Mt. Lebanon High School students to unplug, unwind, and reconnect. Take a peek inside the MinDen.
