MTLSD MOVES TO REMOTE INSTRUCTION At the Special School Board meeting held on November 23, 2020, the Board voted to move the District to Remote/Cyber instruction beginning on November 30, 2020, until at least December 11, 2020. TRAVEL Last week, Governor Wolf issued a new order regarding travel. The Wolf administration is "requiring that travelers entering Pennsylvania from other countries and states, as well as Pennsylvanians who are returning home from other countries or states, have a negative COVID-19 test within 72 hours prior to entering the Commonwealth or quarantine for 14 days upon entry into Pennsylvania."
The MTLSD Health Services Department also asks that you stay at home while being tested, and for travelers coming from out of the country, please consider quarantining 14 days from the day you enter the US.

GATHERINGS With the increase of COVID-19 cases in the county, Allegheny County issued a COVID-19 Stay-At-Home to Stop Social Gatherings Advisory. While it is only an advisory, it provides guidance on how to limit the impact of gatherings over the holidays. In addition, Governor Wolf issued a Limited-Time Stay at Home Advisory on November 23 to help mitigate the rise of COVID-19 cases in Pennsylvania.
The CDC also provides valuable strategies and advice on how to stay safe and healthy during the Thanksgiving holiday.
REMINDER: DAILY SYMPTOM CHECKS Reminder for when we return from remote instruction: PRIOR to coming to school, and to help decrease the risk of spreading any type of infection, the Mt. Lebanon Health Services Department states that All students need to complete a self screening and answer the following questions before coming to school each morning.
1. Do you have any of these symptoms that are not caused by another condition?
2. Have you been exposed to or been in close contact with a COVID positive person? 3. Are you waiting for the results of a COVID test? 4. Have you travelled outside of the United States within the past 14 days? 5. Have you had a positive COVID-19 test for an active virus in the past 10 days? 6. Within the past 14 days, has a public health or medical professional told you to self-monitor, self-isolate, or self-quarantine because of concerns about COVID-19 infection?
***If your child has any of these symptoms and/or your child has answered yes to any of the questions, please keep your child home and notify your child's school nurse immediately.***
