How to Enroll (Step-by-Step)
Below is a step-by-step guide for registering your child for kindergarten in Mt. Lebanon schools:
Step 1: Getting Started
- Gather registration documents (you will be asked to upload a digital image within Enrollment Express, the District’s registration portal):
- Proof of age: Birth certificate or passport (student)
- Parent/guardian ID: Driver’s license, state ID, or passport
- Proof of residency (2 required): Examples include lease, deed, signed purchase agreement, utility bill, property tax bill, or stormwater fee bill
- The documents must include the service address and parent/guardian’s name
- Immunization records (student)
- Other documents as needed (if applicable):
- Court or custody papers
- IEP, GIEP, or 504 Plan
- If enrolling multiple children, you’ll need to upload documents for each child.

- Link to forms.
- Note: these forms are not required to process enrollment, but are required to be submitted before the first day of school.
- Download the 2026-27 School Calendar.
- Like/Follow MTLSD on social media (Facebook, X, and Instagram)
- Complete your volunteer clearances so that you can volunteer in our schools and classrooms. Program Volunteer clearances are valid for five years.

Step 2: Access Enrollment Express
Please complete a Pre-Enrollment form for each student you are registering. Use Google Chrome (recommended) to access Enrollment Express on a desktop/laptop computer and complete the pre-enrollment form.
Once the form is submitted:
- You’ll receive a confirmation email.
- The MTLSD Central Enrollment team will verify your address and residency.
- Look for an email to create a LeboID Account that also contains Enrollment Express Help Documents.
Step 3: Complete Your Enrollment
Using your newly created or existing LeboID account, log in to PowerSchool, our Student Information System (SIS), to complete the enrollment process. During this process, the following information will need to be completed and may require documentation:
- Student Demographics
- Student Address
- Student Contacts and Custody
- Home Language Survey
- Previous Enrollment
- Medical Information and Health History
The Central Enrollment Team will review the completed information and issue a Final Enrollment Approval email with instructions to schedule a 15-minute screening appointment that will take place at your student's school.
Next Steps from Your School
- Each of the District’s seven elementary schools will host a Spring Kindergarten Orientation event on Friday, May 8, 2026, to meet with teachers and staff and distribute kindergarten readiness materials
- Principals will communicate event details to families who have completed a pre-enrollment form later this spring. To attend, families must have completed a pre-enrollment form no later than May 1, 2026.
- In addition, incoming kindergarten families will have the opportunity to attend a new family gathering during the summer. Events are planned and communicated by the respective elementary school and/or its parent organization (PTA).
- Consider joining your school's parent organization:
- Your child’s school will follow up with start dates, class assignments, and other details before the end of the current school year. Please note that the district does not honor family requests for enrollment in an AM or PM Session.
- Kindergarten Interviews will take place on August 18, 2026, and August 19, 2026. More information will be shared later this spring.
