The mission of the Mt. Lebanon Foundation for Education (MLFE) is to directly enhance student experiences in the Mt. Lebanon School District. Since 1999, MLFE, a not-for-profit, 501 (c) (3) organizations, has funded more than 130 innovative projects through teacher mini-grants spanning the entire curriculum at all 10 Mt. Lebanon School.

About MLFE

While Mt. Lebanon residents have always generously supported our schools through their tax dollars, public school systems must face the difficult challenge of balancing innovative programs with cost constraints. With restrained funding at the federal and state level and an increase in regulation and mandates, the need for local funds has increased as well. In establishing the Mt. Lebanon Foundation for Education, this community joins more than 4800 communities across the nation to raise private funds for public schools. K-12 education foundations like MLFE are independent, nonprofit organizations dedicated to supporting educational opportunities for children in their communities.
