School Board Meetings
The Mt. Lebanon Board of School Directors meets twice monthly. Discussion sessions are held on the second Monday of each month and the Regular Meeting is held on the third Monday of each month in room D205 in the High School. The Mt. Lebanon Board of School Directors usually meets twice a month--first, for a discussion session at 7:30 p.m. on the second Monday of each month in Mt. Lebanon High School Room D205, and then on the third Monday at 7:30 p.m. in Room D205, Mt. Lebanon High School for the regular monthly session. Policies
The Mt. Lebanon School Board will exercise its leadership in the operation of the school system by developing and adopting written policies to serve as guidelines and goals for the successful and efficient functioning of the District. Changes in needs, conditions, purposes and objectives will require revisions, deletions and additions to the policies of present and future Boards. Policies are principles adopted by the Board to chart a course of action.

The role of the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee is to act as a liaison between the Board and the District Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Taskforce and to communicate the work of the Taskforce to the School Board and the entire community during Diversity Committee and Board meetings.
The Mt. Lebanon School District is committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and welcoming school environment that recognizes and celebrates the diverse identities of all members of our school community, including students, their families, faculty and staff. All students, regardless of background, identity, or ability, will be supported to reach their full potential and pursue their unique talents. The District will provide resources in a just and equitable manner and remove barriers to allow students to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Extra Mile
The Mt. Lebanon School Board instituted the Extra Mile Award as a way to recognize District staff members who demonstrate exceptional service to our students while exhibiting behavior that encourages others to follow their lead. The Board encourages anyone interested in nominating a District employee to send an email to School Board President Jacob Wyland jwyland@mtlsd.net with a brief description about the nominee and how they have gone above and beyond for our students.Recognition of Extra Mile Award recipients will take place at the Regular School Board meeting.

REQUEST FOR RECORDS
Mt. Lebanon Public Records Request Form
A written request for access to a public record shall be submitted on the required form(s) and addressed to the Open Records Officer. Written requests may be submitted to the District in person, by mail, to a designated facsimile machine, or to a designated e-mail address.
Each request must include the following information:
1. Identification or description of the requested record, in sufficient detail.
2. Medium in which the record is requested.
3. Name and address of the individual to receive the District's response.
The District shall not require an explanation of the reason for the request or the intended use of the requested record, unless otherwise required by law. The District shall not limit the number of records requested.
