Gear Up!
The Gear Up! programs will focus on academics, social and emotional well being, and executive functioning skills. In a fun and interactive format, students will review English Language Arts and Math standards critical for success in the next grade level. They will also work on confidence and readiness to be back to school full time in person.

Keeping Your Cool with Self Regulation Tools
Red, Green, Yellow, Blue…learn how these colors describe you! These are the four color zones we will use to recognize how our body and brain feel and explore the connection between our emotions and actions.
Participants will learn to increase self-awareness, identify tools to self-regulate feelings and apply problem-solving skills through developmentally appropriate literature, art, role plays, and more. For more information, please contact your child’s counselor.

Orchestra
Improve your skills while you learn new skills and new songs on your instrument with Mr. Cook, the orchestra teacher at Mellon! There will be games, prizes, skill development, and a short performance of concert songs at the end of the week. This program is for rising 4th and 5th graders. Band
Students in incoming Grades 5-8 have the opportunity to participate in a four day band clinic that culminates with the students performing the National Anthem for the Pittsburgh Pirates game on Saturday, July 17.
