GoGuardian Filtering
Our district uses GoGuardian to provide web filtering and monitoring on school-issued devices and networks. This helps ensure students stay safe online by blocking inappropriate sites, enforcing our acceptable-use policies, and generating alerts when risky behavior is detected—such as attempts to access blocked content or signs of self-harm. Gaggle Student Safety Services (Grades 3-12)
To further support a safe and healthy learning environment for students in grades 3-12, our district uses Gaggle. Gaggle’s services monitor student activity across school gmail, google drive documents, and google chat (grades 9-12) for signs of potential safety issues—such as cyber-bullying, inappropriate content, or mental-health concerns—and escalate alerts to our trained staff for follow-up. GoGuardian Parent App
GoGuardian Parent is an application available on devices running iOS and Android designed to enable the District to share managed user history collected via GoGuardian with verified parents and guardians.
GoGuardian Parent provides Parents and Guardians with the ability to pause their children's internet, block specific websites, and schedule internet availability on managed devices. These features have no guaranteed functionality on personally owned, unmanaged student devices.
The established “school hours” for Mt. Lebanon School District are 7:30am - 3:30pm. Using the GoGuardian Parent app to set filters and time limits on your student will only affect your student’s browsing experience outside of these school hours.
Note: GoGuardian Parent is currently compatible with iOS versions equal to or newer than iOS 8 and Android version equal to or newer than Android Jelly Bean, v16, 4.1.x.
