As part of our on-going efforts to celebrate our differences and discourage hate at Lincoln, students and staff were asked to share something that makes them unique. Our principal, Mr. Kitsko, shared the story I Am Unique by Jennifer Vassel, with the grade levels in March 2019. The groups talked about what made the main character unique and how she faced challenges in the story. In turn, the students and staff were asked to complete the sentence "I am unique because..." so they could share with pride, something that makes them unique. Later in March, each student and staff member shared their own "I am unique because..." statement while being video recorded. All of the video segments were compiled and edited into one "I am unique because..." video. We are thrilled with what our students and staff chose to share!
