New Principal for Jefferson Elementary School

At the June 17 School Board meeting, the Board unanimously approved the appointment of Brett M. Bielewicz as the new principal of Jefferson Elementary School. Mr. Bielewicz was the Assistant Principal at Whitehall Elementary School in the Baldwin-Whitehall School District. Prior to this position, he served as an interim principal at McAnnulty Elementary School in Baldwin. He also taught elementary school in the Franklin Regional and Quaker Valley School Districts. Mr. Bielewicz began his tenure as the Jefferson Elementary Principal on July 1.

Mr. Bielewicz has a bachelor's degree from Penn State University in Elementary Education K-6 and Early Childhood Education N-3. He has a master's degree from St. Vincent College in Counseling Education, and a master's from Lock Haven University in Educational Leadership and Supervision with Principal's certification.

"We are pleased to welcome Brett to the Mt. Lebanon School District," said Dr. Timothy Steinhauer. "The search process to fill this position was thorough, thoughtful, and rigorous and we are pleased with the outcome."
