Mt. Lebanon High School was named among 46 schools across the country to be a "Green Ribbon School" by the U.S. Department of Education. This school got this award for the many ways they're helping the environment in their school facilities, classes and programs.

Our Model UN team had great success at the Penn State Model UN tournament this past weekend (November 2-4). Twelve of our students won individual honors in the eleven committees in which we competed. Overall, the team won the "Outstanding Delegation" award. The names of the students who won individual honors in their committees were as follows: 1st Place: Owen Descalzi and Abigail Duclos (Seniors), Antonio Carapella (Junior), Nora Kulzer and Melanie Hendrick (Sophomores) 2nd Place: Andrew Gamba (Junior), Jack Horrigan, Jack Silverman, Christian Fraasch (Sophomore) 3rd Place: Rebecca Schwartz, Carson Schuler (Seniors), Ben Ash (Freshman)

Students will be dismissed at 12 noon on November 21st. There is no school November 22nd and 23rd due to Thanksgiving recess.

There will be an adjusted bell schedule on Friday, October 26th for the spirit assembly. Students will participate and root for their elementary school teams at the assembly. Click the link to see the attached schedule.

Students taking SATs at Mt. Lebanon on Saturday, October 6, 2018, should be dropped off at the auditorium entrance (A-2) along Cochran Rd. Doors open at 7am, and testing starts promptly at 8am. Students parking on-site should use the staff parking lot on the south side of the building, but all test-takers should enter only through the auditorium entrance (A-2) along Cochran Rd. Signs inside the building will show room assignments, and guides will direct test-takers to those testing rooms. Bring all required materials (see College Board rules), or you will be turned away without refund. Please note that school ID from last school year is still valid for this SAT admission. Please contact the Test Center Supervisor, Rolf Briegel, at with any questions or concerns.

Forty-six schools and six districts were honored on September 19, 2018 at the 2018 U.S. Department of Education Green Ribbon Schools ceremony for their innovative efforts to reduce environmental impact and costs, promote better health, and ensure effective environmental education. Mt. Lebanon High School was selected as one of only two Pennsylvania Schools to receive this distinction this year.
