The class of 2019 Commencement Ceremony will take place Thursday, June 6th at the high school stadium. Graduation rehearsal will be held Wednesday, June 5th at 2:00 pm (immediately after the Senior Class picnic in the park--The Senior Picnic has been moved indoors for today. The picnic will begin at 1pm in Center Court.

Students taking SATs at Mt. Lebanon on Saturday, June 1st, 2019, should be dropped off at the auditorium entrance (A-2) along Cochran Rd. Doors open at 7am, and testing starts promptly at 8am. Students parking on-site should use the staff parking lot on the south side of the building, but all test-takers should enter only through the auditorium entrance (A-2) along Cochran Rd. Signs inside the building will show room assignments, and guides will direct test-takers to those testing rooms. Bring all required materials (see College Board rules), or you will be turned away without refund. Please note that school ID from last school year is NOT valid for this SAT admission. Please contact the Test Center Supervisor, Rolf Briegel, at with any questions or concerns.

On Monday, May 20th six students from Mt. Lebanon High School participated in the 85th annual state meeting of the Pennsylvania Junior Academy of Science at Penn State University. At this meet students gave a slide presentation on an individual science research project that they designed and performed. Max Guthrie and Natalie McGee won 1st place awards with perfect scores for their projects titled Optimal Wind Turbine Blade Design Using Rotational Analysis and Cross-Linking in a Microbicide. In addition Ben Ash, Jacob Terkel, and Caroline Brustoloni earned 1st place awards and Ava Duchin earned a 2nd place award for their research and presentations. Caroline Brustoloni was also awarded a scholarship to Penn State's School of Engineering. Please join me in congratulating these students on their efforts and success! Pulse, a multimedia arts project (prose, poetry, music, art, and photography) works year-round to bring the best student art to you. Each year, we start with a purpose, and it is our mission to create a motif through which to view these works. Art deserves acknowledgement, and Pulse stands as a testament to that doctrine. The Mt. Lebanon High School Dance Company Auditions will be held on Tuesday, May 28th at 4:00 PM in the High School Dance Studio, room D 105.

The senior reception will take place in Center Court on May 28th from 2:45 PM - 4:00 PM. Students will have a 2:00 pm dismissal this day. Parents are invited back with their senior student to talk with staff members before graduation.

Mt. Lebanon High School will operate on a 10:00AM modified schedule the week of May 13-17 and May 20 due to the Keystone exams. Students who are testing must report to school by 8:00 AM to take their exam. Students who are not testing must report by 10:00 AM. A letter was mailed home via US mail to all testing students detailing the exam/s they will take, the date of the exam/s, and the room number to report. If you believe your child should take one or more Keystone exams but did not receive a letter, please contact your child's school counselor or Unit Principal Joel Thompson.

The school district has confirmed that snow cancellation days will be made-up on June 11 and 12. Click the link to see the revised make up days coming up. (These school make-up days are designated on the district calendar.) Please note that the calendar revisions above are for the high school only due to the special events and semester exams that occur during the last weeks of school. The Pittsburgh Steelers are coming to Mt. Lebanon High School on Friday, May 10th at 7:00 PM in the South Gym. Autographs will be done at half time. Proceeds go to Relay for Life and the Caring Team for Children. Tickets are $7 at the door. Contact MARK DEBERNARDIS @ 412-344-2000 Ext. 10170

There will be a mandatory meeting for all seniors on Wednesday, April 24, 2019, at 7:45 a.m. in the auditorium. The purpose of this meeting is to discuss end-of-year senior activities/procedures, academic graduation requirements, and Commencement Ceremony information. Seniors who attend Parkway West CTC should attend the 7:45am meeting and then will travel to Parkway via district provided bus. Please plan to attend.
