At the June 17 School Board meeting, the Board unanimously approved the appointment of Brett M. Bielewicz as the new principal of Jefferson Elementary School. Mr. Bielewicz is currently the Assistant Principal at Whitehall Elementary School in the Baldwin-Whitehall School District.
Mt. Lebanon High School 9th Grade student Natalie McGee achieved a perfect score on the Level 3 National French Exam in March.
Mrs. Deanna Hess, the District Chairperson for Health Services, was selected to receive the 2019 Highmark Foundation Advancing Excellence in School Nursing award in the School Nursing Practice & Leadership Award category.

Mt. Lebanon High School will hold the One-Hundred-and-Fifth Commencement for the Class of 2019 on Thursday, June 6, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. at the High School Stadium.The ceremony will be streamed live here and will also be broadcast live on Cable Channel 19 and 33.
This month, Governor Tom Wolf announced the grant recipients for the School Safety and Security Grant Program. We were very pleased to learn that we will receive $476,660.00 over two years―the second largest award in our region for a broad range of training, equipment, and infrastructure.
At the May 20 School Board meeting, Board President Mike Riemer presented Ms. Crystal Hinton with the Extra Mile Awardee for May.
