We need your help! Please go to Facebook and like and share this post (LINK) in the next two days to help two Mellon Middle School teachers win the People's Choice Award at the 2018 Create! Festival. Amy Barone and Jeff Holliday have been selected as finalists for the June 7 Pittsburgh's 2018 Best of the Creative Industries Awards. Their creation, Mill Makers, will be honored at the 2018 Create! Festival. This award recognizes artists and creatives who are making our region a better place to work, live, and create. Mill Makers is a tabletop game about the early factory system. The first player to build their mill and ship finished textiles to market wins the game. The challenge is to complete all three phases faster than your opponent while avoiding various setbacks.

The 2018 International Creativity Summit and Create! Festival and Awards will be held on June 6-7 in Pittsburgh. Create! is a mashup of connectivity, interactivity and inspiration, showcasing the year's most innovative work in the Creative Industries. The first ever International Creativity Summit in Pittsburgh features speakers from Americans for the Arts, the European Union and Pittsburgh's innovation sector. The summit brings together a conversation on the power of Creativity to change the world. Each year, Create! features over 100 artists, performers, speakers and exhibitors, and has attracted over 1000 visitors to the two days of events
